aoah ~ PACtz) ~ 7' <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />y <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE,.NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, January. 19th, .19.7.6.. , : <br />The regular meeting of'the Board of Commissioners for Lee <br />County, North Carolina, convened on Monday, January 19, 1976, at 7:00 <br />o'clock p. m., in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, -Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />for the meeting were Commissioners William H. Cooper, John E. Dotterer, <br />Franklin D. Wicker, and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner Hal L. Hancock <br />was absent. Chairman Gordon A. Wicker presided and the following business <br />was transacted. <br />The invocation was given by the Clerk, K. R. Hoyle. <br />Copies of the minutes of the meetings held on December 17, 1975 <br />and January 5, 1976, were distributed to members of the Board. <br />Mr. James Coates, the Director of the Social Services Department, <br />appeared before the the Board and presented and explained an allocation of the <br />budget figures for the IV-D Program. After consideration of the request, the <br />Board gave approval of the allocation as requested by Mr. Coates, upon motion <br />of Commissioner Dotterer, duly seconded by Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker <br />and which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />The bill of Williams & Works for their services in connection <br />with the Armory Program and the renovation of the Agricultural Department, <br />was presented to the Board and approved for payment. Upon motion of Comm- <br />issioner William H. Cooper, duly seconded by Commissioner John E. Dotterer <br />and unanimously adopted, upon a vote, it was resolved to pay the bill from the <br />funds in the appropriation for the Maintenance Department. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, which,motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner John E. Dotterer„ and unanimously adopted, <br />upon a vote, it was resolved to authorize the District Health Department vehicles <br />to obtain gas from the County pumps with reimbursement to be made monthly. <br />. Mr. John Berndt, the Advisor to the County Planning Board, <br />appeared before the Board and distributed the third draft of a mobile home <br />and mobile home park ordinance which had, been prepared by the Lee County <br />Planning Board with technical assistance. from the North Carolina Department of <br />Natural and Economic Resources. Mr. Berndt reviewed the past drafts and <br />briefly noted the amendments made in keeping with the suggestions obtained at <br />prior public hearings. Copies of the draft were distributed to all members of <br />the Board and a public hearing was scheduled for its next regular meeting on <br />Monday, February 2, 1976. <br />
