" oK a X605 WHEREAS, it is necessary to seek financial assistance from the Economic Development Adm- inistration, United States Department of Commerce, in order to undertake construction of such facility, NOW, THEREFORE, ,BE IT RESOLVED. BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF, LEE COUNTY:. r" z 1. That the San-Lee Recreation and Educat- ional Park is hereby, authorized as an official pro'je'ct ofthe'- county, subject to receipt of grant assistance for the purpose of its development. 2. That Gordon A. Wicker, Chairman, and successors so titled, is hereby appointed by the Board of Commissioners as its official representatives, and he is hereby authorized to execute and file with the Economic Development Administration an application on behalf of Lee County for a grant to aid in the development of such facility. 3. That Gordon A. Wicker, Chairman of the County Board of Commissioners, and successors so titled, is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such information as the Economic Development Administration may request.in connection with- such- application or the project; to make the -assurances contained herein; and to execute'such other docu- ments as may be required in connection with the application. 4. That the applicant, Lee County, hereby guarantees successful and timely completion of the project sub- ject to the satisfaction of the Economic Development Administration. 5. That the applicant; Lee County, hereby agrees to complete construction for an amount not to exceed the approved construction line item plus other change.orders as are approved by the Economic Development Administration. 6. That Gordon A. Wicker, Chairman, and successors so titled, is hereby delegated the authority to select and subsequently appoint a Project Coordinator and to establish . the functions, responsibilities, and authority to be vested in said Project Coordinator, subject to the satisfaction of the Regional Administrator, Economic Development Administration, ,and in compliance with any requirements as.may be prescribed additionally by the Economic Development Administration. 7:. That the Finance Officer is hereby authorized to issue a letter in behalf of Lee County assuring the Economic Development Administration that Lee County shall provide interim financing of the project from its General Fund, until such time as grant, funds are.disbursed to the County. .8. That Lee County has substantially complied or will substantially comply with all Federal,. State, and local laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances applicable to the project and to Federal grants pertaining thereto. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.
