ACA A&L <br />r K,~K <br />WHEREAS, The North Carolina Clean Water Bond Act of •1971 has <br />authorized the making of grants to aid eligible units of governmeiit in <br />financing the cost of construction of wastewater treatment work's.,, <br />wastewater collection systems, and water supply systems, and water <br />supply systems, and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has need for and intends to construct a (state <br />whether a wastewater treatment works, wastewater collection system, <br />or water supply system) project described-as the Clawson Williams <br />Industrial Park Water Project,, and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County intends to request State grant assistance for the <br />project, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OF LEE COUNTY <br />That Lee County will arrange financing for all remaining costs of the <br />project, if approved fora State grant award, <br />That Lee County will require the City of Sanford to adopt and place into <br />effect on or before. completion of the project a schedule of fees and charges <br />which will provide adequate funds for proper operation, maintenance and <br />administration of the system, <br />That Lee County will require the City of Sanford to provide for efficient <br />operation and maintenance of the project on completion of construction <br />thereof. <br />That Gordon A. Wicker, Chairman, and successors so titled, is hereby <br />authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of Lee County with <br />the State of North Carolina fora grant to aid in the construction of the <br />project described above, y <br />That Gordon A. Wicker, Chairman, and successors so titled, is hereby <br />authorized and directed to furnish such information as the appropriate <br />State agency may request in connection with such application or the project; <br />to make the assurances as contained above; and to execute such other docu- <br />ments as may be required in connection with the application, <br />That Lee County has substantially complied or will substantially comply <br />with all Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances <br />applicable to the project and to Federal and State grants and loans pertain- <br />ing thereto; and hereby authorized the above designated representative to <br />execute an affidavit so stating. , <br />Coirunissioner Franklin D.
