Upon motion of Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Hal L. Hancock, motion was unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED to authorize
<br />Williams & Works-to advertise for bids for the construction of the -Broadway
<br />Community Building.'
<br />Mr. Darrel 'L. Beverly,. Area Director,. Mr. Jeff Ward, Mr. Tommy
<br />Mann and Ms. Evelyn Johnson, members of the Lee-Harnett Mental Health Board,
<br />appeared before the Board and reviewed their Budget Request. Mr. Beverly
<br />advised the Board he had not received his final guidelines from the State-Mental
<br />Health and therefore, could not present his complete BudgetRequest at this time.
<br />Considerable time was spent in discussing questions. or requests for
<br />information which the Board of Commissioners had previously made to the Mental
<br />Health Directors, which had not been answered.
<br />Mr. Sonny Baker,:. Director, Mr. J. E. Heins,.Ms. Marrietta Watson, Mr.
<br />Worth'Pickard, and Dr. Bill Tullock, appeared before the Board on behalf of the
<br />Lee Parks and Recreation Commission. Mr. Baker presented the'Budget Request.
<br />The Board next discussed the Planned Use Report for the Revenue Sharing
<br />money and authorized the publication of the required portion of the Report.
<br />The statement of Mr. Jeter Johnson of $1, 100. 00, for work done behind
<br />the County, Maintenance Building, in construction of a culvert, was presented to
<br />the Board. and approved, upon motion of.Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, seconded
<br />by Commissioner John.E. Dotter'er, and unanimously adopted upon a vote.
<br />Mr. Nathan Crissman, County Tax Collector, presented his,settlement
<br />of the 1975 Levy. The Levy is as follows:
