: <br />.Gf0 <br />funds from local funds for the construction of'said project. <br />To become effective upon passage hereof, <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded.the motion and upon a vote it <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption-of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has developed an Economic Development <br />project known.as San-Lee. Recreational and Educational Park and has <br />identified its problems and deficiencies, and adopted goals.and strategies <br />to deal with them, and <br />• WHEREAS, Lee County has made progress reaching 'some of the <br />goals, and <br />WHEREAS,. Lee County's major problem is the need of additional <br />heavy construction equipment-as follows: <br />1. One bulldozer. ` <br />2, One front end loader and back hoe. <br />3. Two dump trucks. <br />4. One medium size, truck and rotary cutter. <br />5. One low boy tractor-trailer"to move heavy equipment. <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has made. an analysis of the problems and <br />deficiencies, and determined that through the use of limited local funds, <br />Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant funds and utilization of <br />Federal Excess Equipment,, can make progress in solving the problem, and <br />WHEREAS,. Gordon A. Wicker, Chairman of the Lee County Board <br />of Commissioners,,and successors so titled, is hereby appointed, by the <br />Board of Commissioners as its official representative to execute and file <br />.a request with the Department of Commerce,. Economic Development ~Adm- <br />inistration, on behalf of L,ee County for useage of Federal Exc'As'Equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, RESsOLVED THAT-LEE.COUNTY <br />THROUGH ITS, LIMITED-LOCAL FUNDS, ECONOMICtDEVELOPMENT.w . <br />ADMINISTRATION (EDA) GRANT FUNDS AND.FEDE,RAL EXCESS <br />PROPERTY PROGRAM .CAN DEVELOP;,THEIR SAN-'LEE: RECREATIONAL' <br />...r : w - <br />. '4 <br />AND EDUCATIONAL PARK PROJECT. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: Lee•',County will insure the <br />present level of condition, less normal useage,.of this Federal Excess <br />Equipment and, an accountability of this equipment without additional <br />expense to the'Department. of Commerce, Economic Development <br />Administration. <br />To become effective upon passage hereof. <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: ' <br />WHEREAS, on January 5, 19763 the Board of Commissioners of <br />Lee County did, by resolution, authorize its Chairman for and in behalf <br />of„Lee County to file and execute all required pze-application and application <br />documents, and supporting data, with.,the Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development for a grant of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars* ($500,000. 00) <br />for the purpose of undertaking a Comprehensive Renewal Plan within <br />
