The regular monthly bills were presented to the Board for ~coris deration, <br />After review and discussion, it.was RESOLVED to pay the bills as tabulated by the <br />County Finance-Officer, The motion was made by Commissioner William H. Cooper, <br />seconded by Commissioner John E. Dotterer, and unanimously adopted upon a; vote, <br />The Board next reviewed the contracts which it had awarded to Williams & <br />Work's, as follows: <br />A. The Lyons Bottom,Title X project, 'which calls for 7, 9% of the total <br />project which will be $12, 500. 00, ` <br />B. 'The Broadway Community Building, Project which calls for'l0, 25% of the " <br />total project, which will be $5, 100, 00. <br />C. The Lyons Bottom Community Development Projects which are for <br />10.25% and which will amouni to $Z4,'825. 50, <br />D. C.. L. Williams Fire Protection and Fire Water Lines, which calls for <br />11, 57o, and amounts to $23,.550, 00, <br />E. The Northview Sewer Line Project, which will amount to $16, 250, 00, less <br />$8, 540. 00 which had previously been paid, <br />F. The Walker Sewer'Line Project, which calls for 11-1/27, of the total <br />project, which will be $5, 325, 00, <br />G. The Broadway Water Lines Project, which calls for 10% of the total <br />project, which will be $3, 573, 00, <br />H. The Sanford-Lee County School Board Water Lines Project,, which calls <br />for 10% of the total project," which will be $4,000,'00, <br />I„ The Lemon Springs Water Line Project which calls for 1076 of the total <br />project, which will be $18, 945, 10, <br />After discussion and review, the Community Development bills as listed <br />by the Community Development Director and County Finance Officer,, including the <br />payments on the aforementioned contracts, were approved for payment, upon motion <br />of Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, duly seconded by Commissioher William H. <br />Cooper, which motion was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners at its <br />meeting on March 1,, 1976,, directed.the•Sanford-Lee County Board <br />of Education to, file an application with the North Carolina Department <br />of.Natural and Economic Resources for a grant to assist in the con- <br />struction of sewer lines to the new East and West Junior High Schools; and <br />WHEREAS, the Sanford-Lee County Board of Education has filed <br />such application for 257o of the cost; and <br />WHEREAS,. the Department of -Natural and Economic Resources <br />has made inquiry as to how the remaining 75% of.cost of the sewer lines <br />t k ~ f <br />will be supplied; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, t <br />1.
