NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY: COMMISSIONERS, IN OPEN MEETING ASSEMBLED IN THE CITY OF SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA, THIS 21st-day of June, 1976, as follows:' 1, That the project referenced above is in the best interest of the Applicant and the. general public. 2; That D. F.-Holder, Sheriff, beauthorized'to file, in behalf of the,Applicant, an'application i'n.the form prescribed by the Division of Law and 'Order for a subgrant in the amount of $19, 124. 00, to be made-to the Applicant to assist in defraying the cost of the project. described in the application. This individual shall act as the authorized representative of the Applicant in connect- ion with all aspects of the application process. 3. That if the subgrant is made, the Applicant shall provide or make arrangements'to provide, a local cash. matching contribution in the amount of $1, 062, 45, and a local in-kind matching contribution valued under LEAK guidelines at ®(or proprotionately .reduced local matching contributions if the subgrarit. amount is reduced) as required by the.Act to defray the-cost of the project. ' 4. -That the Project Director designated in the application form shall furnish or:make arrangements for other appropriate persons to furnish such information, data, documents -and reports pertaining to the project, if approved,, as may be required by the Division'of Law and Order. 5. . That certified copies of this resolution,be included as part of the'application reference above.. 6. That this resolution shall take 'effect immediately';upon its adoption.' Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker'seconded'the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted, , Mr, George E. Palmer, of Carolina Trace, appeared before the Board and presented a petition requesting the establishment of a rural fire protection district to be known as'the Har-Lee Fire Drstrict which is basically a district extending four miles out of the community of Swan Station. Upon motion of Commissioner Dwtterer; duly, seconded by Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, which motion was unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED to receive the petition and if it contained 15% of the resident free-holders to consult with.the Board of Elections and the Harnett County Board of Commissioners, preparatory.to calling the election as required by law. A copy of the petition is attached to the minutes and made. apart hereof.' Commissioner Dotterer moved that all CET: employees, receive the same 5% increase in salary without any change ingrade as had been provided for other 'County employees. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.. A Fire-Marshal from Moore County appeared before the Board and discussed the fire districts in Moore County. The original purpose of his trip was to seek assistance for the Cameron service district which is equipped to serve a portion of Lee County.-
