E <br />BOOK <br />County Administration <br />O FACE f U <br />The Board of Commissioners does <br />hereby recite that, upon its examination and discussions, <br />nothing has come to its attention which would lead it to <br />believe that said brochure contains any untrue statement <br />of a material fact or omits to state any material fact <br />necessary to make the statements therein, in the light <br />of the circumstances under which they were made, not <br />misleading. <br />The motion having been duly seconded, and the <br />resolution having been considered, it was adopted. The <br />vote on the adoption of the resolution was as follows: <br />AYES: Cooper, Dotterer, Hancock and Gordon Wicker <br />NAYS: None <br />ABSENT: Franklin D.~ Wicker <br />The Chairman reported that the Town of Broadway had agreed to <br />furnish the matching funds which would enable the construction of the <br />.Community Center. <br />Mr. 'Elwin Buchanan, Community Development Director, <br />appeared before the Board and reported that he had been in touch with the <br />authorities who administer the clean water bond program for the State of <br />North Carolina and it would be possible for Lee County to submit a grant <br />for participation by the State in the excess of the bids over the estimate <br />for the construction of the Northview Sewer Line Project. Mr.' Buchanan <br />advised that the application needed to be filed now, however, it could not <br />be approved or any funds paid until after January of next year.' Commissioner <br />William H.' Cooper moved that Mr. Buchanan be authorized and directed to <br />-9- <br />
