P,, Parrish, Kent Gunter and Steve Tysinger for'. their efforts in the BiCentennial celebration, Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker joined the meeting and participated in the further deliberations of the. Board, " The Board next considered `a request made, by-Mrs. ' Zettie Gordon' , for use'of the New Hope. Building. as a community building. At the suggestion of Commissioner Cooper, it was decided'to ask the representatives of ,the community proposal for 'conside,ration. by the Board. _ to submit some kind of The Board'then discussed what use would be made of the community building in Broadway and who would be responsible for its maintenance and upkeep, Commissioner Cooper was asked to look into.the matter and 'report his findings-to the Board. Commissioner-Cooper reported that, the recomfnendati_onsi-of `the Recreation Commission were.that Mr. Richard Branch be reinstated as a member- -of that commissionand,that Mrs, Jane Struthers `be,appointed,to. serve in place of Glenn•Griffin for.the'balance of his unexpired term-and`Mr, Cooper moved'that, such-appointments be made. Commissioner Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Upon motion of Commissioner Cooper, ,seconded by Commissioner Dotterer, .which motion wa s'. unanimously adopted,' upon a vote„ it was RESOLVED to appoint Mrs, Beatrice Fields,.'County Finance Officer, as the County's representative to attend the Regional Workshop for assisting CHSP applicants in completing the necessary forms in applying for ambulances to be- held at the Alamance'T e clinical Institute'on'August 25; 1976, "beginning at 1:00 o'clock p. m. and she is hereby authorized to'execuie any and.all. applications and contracts necessary for the purpose of completing,: paid application and she is likewise author- ized to commit the resources;of the County ,to the execution.of the project for which 'the application is made, The Chairman,presented:a contract between the County and the North Carolina Department of'Natural-;and Economic Resources which provides for an agreement for>the, protection, development and improvement of forest lands in Lee.County and provides for a total.cooperative appropriation of $32, 430, 00 of which 601o is furnished by the State and 4076 is furnished by the County. The Board discussed the contract and ascertained that the County appropriation for'. .forestry purposes was adequate for the funding of the contract and the Chairman was authorized to execute said contract on behalf'of the County, Commissioner Dotterer'rrioved that Section 10 of the Ordinance relating.to Massage Parlors be amended by deleting the present Section 10 and substitute in lieu thereof the following: 1110, Revocation, Due Process Hearing, (a) The-Board of'Commissioners of Zee County shall revoke the•license of any licensee who has been convicted of: (1)a crime involving sexual misconduct including. but'not limited to those covered by G. S. 14, Article 26 (offenses against public morality and decency) and G. S. 14, Article 27 (prostitution), •or (2) this 'ordinance. (b) Any revocation shall be made only after written notice of the grounds. for revocation has been given to the licensee and he has had an opportunity to answer the charges in a hearing before the Board of Commissioners.
