And whereas, the Board is satisfied that the closing of the portion of the road as' described would not be contrary to the public interest and that no individual owning property in the subdivision in which it is located would thereby.be.deprived of reasonable means of ingress and egress to his property. NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED that the portion- of the unnamed road shown on map of Sunset Hills in-or near the community of Northview and described as follows: Being the,_northernmost portion of the unnamed road which abuts,on Lots. Nos. 334 through 340 inclusive, as shown on map, entitled "Sunset Hills" and recorded in Map Book 4, page 52, Lee County Registry and being-the area which would be north of the northern boundary if Northview Drive as.shown on said map were extended to the line of Lot No. 326 as shown on said map. be and the same is hereby ordered closed,pursuant to the authority set forth in G. S. 153A-241. CommissionerFranklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon 'a vote thereon Commissioners Cooper, Dotterer, Hancock, F. Wicker ..and G. Wicker-voted 'in-favor and no one voted against., Mr,. Hugh Brewer, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds,. appeared before the Board and reported on the cost and availability of- toilet fixtures for the jail. After discussion and review' of the materials, Commissioner William H. Cooper moved that Mr. Brewer.be authorized to purchase five'stainless steel comodes for -use at the. jail with the purchase to be made from the appropriation for the Main- tenance Department. Commissioner Hal L. Hancock seconded the motion and upon a vote.it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker requested. that Mr. Brewer have Mr. Darrell Mullins present to the Board his recommendations and specifications for repairing the windows in the County Office Building. Mr. James Pate and Mr. Ed Fleis of Williams and: Works; ,appeared, before the Board and discussed the Lyons Bottom.Project 'Nlr Pate; tated'.that'it'_ _ was a complex job and the City of Sanford was requiring resident inspection or continuous. inspection of all phases of the construction. Mr. Pate.•stated kit'was extremely difficult to estimate-the _cost for such special service buthe thought his firm could perform the services for not more than $7, 000. 00. After further dis- cussion by the.Board and the representatives of the engineeringFfirrri, Commissioner-`-. Dotterer moved that the Board employ Williams and Works to perform'resident inspection services on the Lyons 'Bottom Project-at a sum not to exceed $7, 000. 00 said payment to be made from grant funds. Commissioner Cooper seconded the motion•and upon a vote`.it was unanimously adopted. -Chairman Gordon Wicker -reminded. the Board, that County Commissioners would be recognized at a ceremony to be held at the State Fair on Monday, October 152 1976, at 6:00 o'clock p, m.
