BK - 00026 PG <br />Commissioners to place on the November ballet. To date no formal action has been taken in reference <br />to the college's request. Commissioner Womack stated he felt this matter should be discussed during <br />the upcoming budget process. Dr. Bud Marchant, President of CCCC answered questions in <br />reference to accreditation of the Vet Tech Program. Finance Director Lisa Minter presented financial <br />numbers showing debt issuances since 2004 for the Lee County Schools and CCCC. After discussion, <br />it was agreed Mr. Crumpton would have detailed information for the Board to discuss the matter at their <br />April 21St meeting. <br />Mr. Crumpton stated that Brick Capital Community Development has shared an interest in <br />purchasing the Wicker Gym located at WB Wicker Campus. He will get an offer in writing from Brick <br />Capital and bring back to the Board for discussion at their first meeting in April. No action was taken. <br />Commissioner Smith moved to go into Closed Session to (1) discuss matters relating to the <br />location or expansion of a business in the area per North Carolina General Statute §143- 318.11(a) (4), <br />and (2) to consult with the County Attorney to protect the attorney - client privilege per North Carolina <br />General Statute §143- 318.11(a) (3). Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was in Closed <br />Session. Upon returning from Closed Session, with all members present, the regular meeting resumed. <br />Chairman Parks called the regular meeting back to order. <br />Commissioner Reives moved for the Board of Commissioners to waive and release a copy of <br />the "Confidential Attorney /Client Privilege" memo from Attorney Neil Yarborough to Chairman Parks in <br />reference to the Carolina Trace Town Hall meeting held on March 7, 2014. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Parks read a prepared statement (copy attached) taking full responsible for the <br />difficulties some citizens had in getting into Carolina Trace for the March 7, 2014 Town Hall meeting. <br />With no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Frazier moved to adjourn the <br />meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting adjourned at <br />8:40 p.m. <br />5 <br />
