Spivey, General Services Director <br />REQUEST Renew 1 -year contract for inmate labor <br />SUMMARY The current contract between Lee County General Services and the <br />North Carolina Department of Corrections for inmate labor will <br />expire June 30, 2014. Both parties wish to renew the contract which <br />provides six (6) inmates to work under the supervision of Lee <br />County General Services for $1.00 per day. <br />BUDGET IMPACT Funds are included in the 2014 -2015 budget. <br />ATTACHMENT(S) (1) March 25, 2014 Letter from Mr. John Godfrey <br />(2) Annual Contract <br />PUBLIC HEARING No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION Approved contract on May 6, 2013 for the current year. <br />RECOMMENDATION Approve renewal contract with the North Carolina Department of <br />Corrections as presented. <br />
