NOTICE OF AN OFFER TO PURCHASE PROPERTY OWNED BY LEE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF SANFORD BEING ADVERTISED PURSUANT TO NCGS §153A -176 TAKE NOTICE that Lee County and the City of Sanford have received an offer to purchase the parcel of property located on Stroud Street, Lot 1 -10 Block E of Gunter Forest, Sanford, NC, herein below described, for the sum of Two Thousand'' Seven Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($2,700.00). The tax value of said property is Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($11,700.00). Within ten (10) days hereof, any person, firm, or corporation interested in purchasing the property may raise the bid. The above referenced bid must be raised by not less than ten percent (10 %) of the first $1,000.00 and five percent 5 %) of the remainder. When a bid is raised, the bidder shall deposit with the County Clerk, by certified check, cashier's clieck or cash, five percent (5 %) of the increased bid amount and shall be responsible for all advertising costs. The Clerk shall readvertise the offer at the increased bid amount. This procedure will be repeated until no further qualifying upset bids are received, at which time the Lee County Board of Commissioners may accept the offer. Final sale of the property is subject to approval and acceptance by the City of Sanford. The Board of Commissioners may, at any time, reject any and all offers. The Subject Property is described as follows: Parcel located on Stroud Street, Lot 1 -10 Block E of Gunter Forest, in Sanford, NC, identified as PIN number 9643 -55- 7190 -00, also being that property described in Deed Book 1335 at page 818 in the Lee Count y Registry, subject to any and all encumbrances and liens of record This the 21st day of March, 2014.
