" <br />Cornmissioner-Clyde J. Rhyne seconded the. motion and upon "vote it was <br />-unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne presented-a petition requesting the addition <br />to the State System'of'Parkwood Drive in Parkwood Estates, ..Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker moved the adoption of the following resolution with respect-to said road': <br />"Whereas, the attached petition'has been filed with the-Board-of County <br />. <br />Commissioners of the County of Lee requesting that the-above described <br />road, .the location of which'has.been indicated in red on the attached map, " <br />be added to the Secondary Road System; and <br />"Whereas,. the-Board of County Coinmiss oners is of the opinionAhat the <br />above described road should be added to the.Secondary Road System, if the road <br />meets minimum standards and criteria established by`the Division of <br />Highways -of the Department of: Transportation and Highway Safety for the <br />addition of roads-to.the System. <br />"NOW, THEREFORE; be it resolved by'the Board of County Commissioners <br />of the County of Lee that the Division of Highways is hereby requested to <br />review the above described, road, and to takeover the'road for maintenance <br />if it meets established standards.and'criteria. <br />Commissioner'Clyde J. Rhyne•seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Clyde J.. Rhyne presented -~a petition asking that Secondary Road <br />`No, 1203 be paved.. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved the adoption of, the following <br />resolution: - <br />"WHEREAS, the Board•of County Commissioners for the.County.of Lee` <br />has investigated the condition of. the above-described road which is now a part <br />of the, system of =roads maintained by the'State Highway. Commission, and'- <br />which is indicated in red on' th'e attached map; `and <br />"WHEREAS, after careful consideration of the services rendered:by said - <br />road "and-the traffic-demands of said county, it is deemed 'necessary,that said <br />road be improvedlin order°to'better serve the interests,of the people of this- <br />county. _ <br />"NOW; THEREFORE, be it resolved, and he Board of County.Commissioners <br />' >heereby approv'ed'aiid request that the`State,Highway Commission'make the <br />following improvements in the above described road:.
