BK - 00026 PG - 0359 <br />The Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees met in a regular quarterly <br />meeting at the Siler City Campus, Siler City, North Carolina at 7:30 p.m. on April 24, 2013. <br />Present: Chairman Julian PhilRott, presiding, and Board of Trustee Members Dr. Tracy <br />Harmer Jan Hayes R V Hight, James Kelly Susan Laudate Tony Lett, Ophelia Livingston, <br />Geor¢e Lucier, Chet Mann, Clem Medley, Tim McNeill, Bobby Powell, Martha Underwood <br />Doug Wilkinson and Bill Wilson <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present: T. E. MarchaiiL President <br />Trustee Chet Mann, CCCC Board of Trustee Finance Committee, Chair introduced the following <br />resolution which was read: <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING AND PETITIONING THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />TO PROVIDE NECESSARY FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING <br />THE COST OF CENTRAL CAROLINA COMMUNITY COLLEGE <br />FACILITIES <br />Section 1. The Board of Trustees of Central Carolina Community College (the <br />"Board ") hereby finds and determines as follows: <br />(a) It is necessary, in order to maintain adequate facilities for the proper operation and <br />management of the Lee County Campus of Central Carolina Community College, to <br />acquire, construct, renovate, expand and improve additional facilities at the Lee <br />County Campus, shown on Attachment "A" hereto, (collectively, the "Project"). <br />(b) The estimated aggregate cost of the Project is approximately $23 million dollars. <br />(c) It is necessary to request the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, North <br />Carolina to provide the necessary funds to pay the costs of the Project. <br />Section 2. The Board hereby requests and petitions the Board of Commissioners for <br />the County of Lee, North Carolina to take all necessary steps, by the issuance of bonds or <br />otherwise, to provide funds for paying the costs of the Project described in Section 1 above. <br />
