065
0
1 1) blow will employees otherwise paid frown state programs (ic: maternal
health, family planning, etc., etc..) be used in this program?:
Answer: Very, very Carefully;
As we use staff, we are required for them to fill out time study data
accurately designating program time in a given program. Our honesty in
doing this will continue as we do not want audit exceptions. However, if we
don't earn enough under a given program because the staff person was
assigned to HIN1 then our reimbursements may be less than budgeted,
resulting in revenue shortfalls. This will be monitored quite carefully with
full and regular disclosure to the impacted state agencies and the 1_ee County
finance office. I lowever the guesstimate now is that we will lose a potential
maximum o f f 7%ofaffected revenues (1/2 of 18 weeks worth of-state
revenues tied to salaries). As we use volunteers and as we use paid
Temporary RN/LPN staff we hope for the best so as not to reduce revenue
impacted positions.
12) now will we use the Nurse Practitioner and what will the impact be on
our Primary Care program?
The primary care program will be cut to 40% over the time period and
our Nurse Practitioner will be used to handle emergencies; take care of
vaccine reactions; assist in showing volunteer nurses correct procedures for
this HD's protocol and assist in high risk visitations in the community (a HIV
positive person desiring a shot)-
13) If the school system allows for HINI on site will the health department be
able to deliver the vaccine services? Yes, with the help of their school
health nurses. Worst case scenario has us closing for a week to work in the
schools, but we will carefully think thm the logistics on this one.
C:ACampaignl-I I NI
11
