G1.2 <br />• LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL BOARD RETREAT <br />OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MARCH 20. 2009 <br />The special Board Retreat with the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2009, in the Multi-Purpose Room <br />located at San Lee Park, 4010 Pumping Station Road, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners <br />present were Amy M. Dalrymple, Richard B. Hayes, James4d7 Kelly. Larry "Doc" Oldham, Nathan E. <br />Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Linda A. Shook. Other sta%nembers present included County <br />Manager John Crumpton, County Attorney K. R. Hoyle, Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee, Human <br />Resource Director Joyce McGehee, and Finance Director'Lisa Minter. <br />Chairman Hayes called the meeting to order and County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the <br />® invocation. <br />The Board discussed goals, strategic p la and Board expectations for the upcoming year. <br />The Board took no actionWn(5aitems discussed during the Retreat but did hear presentations <br />from Mark Browder with Mark I lk insurance provider) in reference to a new Health Savings Account <br />(HSA) program that will be offered to employees and a financial presentation from Ted Cole and <br />Bob High with Davenport & Company. <br />County Manager John Crumpton gave an overview of the budget and presented the Capital <br />Improvement Plan (CIP). No recommendation was given by the Manager for the CIP at this time. <br />With no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Hayes adjourned the Retreat <br />at 210 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />Richard B.
