A. <br />Information <br />Meeting Date: March 2, 2009 _XX Action Item <br />- Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Recommendations from the Courthouse Advisory Committee <br />Administration/Legal - John Crumpton and Kenneth R. Hoyle <br />CONTACT PERSON: Rick Hager- Local Attorney and Committee Member <br />• REQUEST: Consider and Discuss Courthouse Advisory Committee <br />recommendations. <br />SUMMARY: The Courthouse Advisory Committee is making several recommendations <br />for the Commissioners to consider. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: Several of the recommendations will cost a considerable amount of <br />money for the County to implement. General Services is still working on cost estimates to move <br />walls, jury boxes, build and modify parking areas, purchase parking signs, vehicle access gates, <br />card readers, security equipment, fencing and building access readers. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): 1) E-mails from Rick Hager on behalf of the Advisory Committee <br />2) Letters from Judges Franklin F. Lanier and Albert A. Corbett <br />3) Letter from Susan Doyle, District Attorney <br />4) A parking plan map will be provided at the meeting and can be <br />reviewed in the County Managers office. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: The Board created the Advisory Committee to review spacing needs <br />and other issues at the courthouse. This is the first time the Commissioners will hear of the <br />recommendations. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Take recommendations under advisement and set process to review <br />• request. <br />
