Minter, Finance Director <br />REQUEST: Approval of joint applications from Lee County Board of Education <br />for Lottery funds <br />SUMMARY:, On October 20, 2008, the Board of Commissioners approved <br />Lottery applications to fund replacing HVAC controls at Edwards <br />Elementary School as well as Ingram Elementary School. Each <br />project was going to cost $205,619. An application was also <br />approved for $110,381 to replace HVAC controls at Greenwood <br />Elementary. On December 16, 2008, the Board of Education sent a <br />request to NC Department of Public Instruction withdrawing the <br />applications for Edwards Elementary and Greenwood Elementary. <br />The Board of Education is now submitting an application for an <br />additional $232,066 for Ingram Elementary School to demolish and <br />replace heat pumps. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: N/A - This is just a reallocation of funds already budgeted. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): (1) Application Public School Building Capital Fund North Carolina <br />Education Lottery <br />(2) December 16, 2008, letter to NC Department of Public <br />Instruction from Dr. James W.
