U,,-b
15800 John J. Delaney Drive, Suite 120 Charlotte, NC 28277
980218.5000 OFFICE 980.318.5005 FAx
greenwayresiden tiatdeve lopm ent.co m
August 23, 2013
Mr. John Payne, Director
Lee County Parks and Recreation Department
PO Box 1968
2303 Tramway Road
Sanford, NC 27331 -1968
Dear Mr. Payne:
Re: Investment in Dalrymple Park, Lee County
Please accept this letter as an affirmation of the intent of Greenway Residential Development, LLC to
invest in Dalrymple Park in the amount of $21,750 as part of our commitment to the recreational
interests of City of Sanford and Lee County. As you know Greenway is the developer of the Autumn
Oaks residential community that is located directly across Woodland Avenue from Dalrymple Park. We
are intensely proud of Autumn Oaks and the role it plays in the Jonesboro area.
As we continue to expand the Autumn Oaks residential community we were pleased to work with Bob
Bridwell and the Community Development staff to negotiate a development agreement with the City of
Sanford that specified our investment to Dalrymple Park. Please note this is a restricted investment and
is made with the understanding that our funds will be utilized to fund park and recreational
improvements exclusively at Dalrymple Park. It is also our understanding that these funds are intended
to improve access (in conjunction with ADA compliance) to Woodland Avenue into the park; and to also
make further recreational improvements in Dalrymple Park. I have been advised that you are seeking
additional funding through the NC Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF). Greenway Residential
Development, LLC wholeheartedly supports those efforts not only for its value to Autumn Oaks, but also
to the community at large.
Best wishes for your success particularly in regard to Dalrymple Park. We are pleased to play a role in
this success and look forward to a long relationship with Lee County and the City of Sanford.
Sincerely,
oPa
Cc: Robert L. Bridwell, AICP
