Dock ! <br />WHEREAS, the delimits of the property and the interest to <br />be acquired therein was presented to the Board of Commiss- , <br />ioners; <br />NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />THAT, the Board of Commissioners of the County of ;Lee: <br />certifies that the work of the appraiser and the review " <br />appraiser, with 'r'espect to each property has been per- <br />formed in a competent manner in accordance with applicable <br />State law, The Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real, <br />Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1:970, Public Law <br />91-646, and the Economic,Development.Administration. <br />(EDA). policies and.requirements; and. <br />THAT;. Just Compensation is hereby " <br />established for each of the parcels as follows. . <br />Parcel Interest to Established <br />No. Acres Owner be Acquired Fair Market <br />Value <br />4797E 10.96 Elijah Wrenn Fee Simple_ . $8,220.00 <br />Estate <br />Commissioner Franklin D: Wicker seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote it was unanimously adoptedt` <br />Mr. Joh,Moore, appeared before the Board) concerning the CETA <br />Program. Mr; Moore reported that the'County, because of a lack of population,. <br />would not qualify for additional fund's. That with the available funds, he could <br />operate the program-for this yea r, or possibly-,, until September of 1978." Mr. . <br />Moore asked-the Board for instructions as;'to h*w the:y wanted; the program operated. <br />Commissioner Dotterer moved that the=Board endorse the plan'outlined by Mr. <br />Moore to freeze a position when anyone resigned and in that fashion to continue <br />.the program until September of r978_sif it-is possible :E Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker seconded.the motion 'Pilo 'upon a vote it.was unanimously adopted. Mr. <br />Moore was also instructed to gather. such,data as he considered pertinent for sub- <br />mission to the County's representative's iii,Washingtoii;;to seek a change in the- <br />guidelines for.this program, <br />Mr. Garland Fulton,. Chairman of the Hospital Board of Directors, <br />appeared before the Board and advised them that the Hospital needed approximately <br />$41, 000, 00 to secure, an additional. boiler ,to insure continuous operation of the <br />hospital plant. After an extended discussion, , Commissioner Dotterer moved that <br />since the County owns the hospital site and since the Board of Directors operate <br />the hospital, that the Board of Directors should furnish to the Board of Comm- <br />issioners monthly financial reports and a, copy-of the hospital's current budget <br />together with reports on the evaluation of the physical condition of the boilers, <br />and that after receiving such reports, the.County would-, at that time, consider <br />the request of the Board of Directors,' Commissioner` thyne asked that the <br />motion be amended to.include receiving reports on the condition of the boilers <br />in the school'buildings soon to be'abandoned, .and Commissioner potterer agreed <br />to such amendment. As amended, Commissioner Rhyne seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted, <br />The Chairman appointed Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker to <br />contact the City of'Sanford' authorities to request financial assistance'for the <br />
