BOOK 9 PAGE 15 9- Mr. James Pate, of Williams & Works, Inc., Engineers, appeared before the Board and suggested that any funds remaining in the appropriation for the installation of the sewer line to Trion's Industrial site be used to increase the size of the pipe being placed under the McNeill Road to connect the Trion Plant with the County's line. After discussion, Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that any funds remaining unspent from the appropriation for the installation of the sewer line to the Trion, Inc., industrial site may be expended to increase the size of the sewer line pipe being placed under McNeill Road between Trion's plant and the end of the County's line. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, Messrs. Dotterer, Rhyne, F. Wickes, G. Wicker and Cooper all voted for it and no one voted against it. Chairman Cooper reported to the Board that Mr, Michael Tripp had resigned his position as Ranger. The Board'decided to have all interested persons to pick up application blanks from the County Finance officer. Mr. Darrell Mullins, of Williams & Works, Engineers, appeared before the Board and proceeded to open the bids received for doors and frames at the Multi-Purpose Center at the San-Lee Recreation and Education Park. The bids did not have a bid bond and therefore were not considered. This was the Board's third attempt to obtain bids and the project has been delayed at least six weeks because of the failure to obtain bids or properly documented bids. The Board instructed the architect to divide the project into convenient and reasonable catagories and to solicit bids on this basis for the Boards consideration. Mr. Darrell Mullins, of Williams & Works, Engineers, reported to the Board that he had reviewed the bid received for light fixtures at the Multi- Purpose Center at the San-Lee Recreation and Educational Park and had found dup- lications which allowed for deductions of approximately $4, 000. 00, and that he re- commended that the Board accept the low bid of Capt. R. O. D. Sullivan, Inc., in the amount of $7,085.52. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that the contract be awarded to Capt. R. O. D. Sullivan, Inc.,, at the price of $7, 085. 52. The motion was duly seconded and unanimously adopted. Mr. Darrell Mullins, of Williams & Works, Engineers, appeared before the Board and reviewed his firm's charges for surveying the three tracts of land adjoining the San-Lee Recreation and Educational Park. The charges total $3, 050. 71. No action was taken and it was decided to consider the matter again at the next meeting. Mr. Douglas Wilkinson, Chairman of the Finance Committee, CCTI, appeared before the Board and told them that the Trustees of the CCTI had saved $8, 857. 00 from the original appropriation of $13, 600. 00, for the construction of the 2520 square foot storage building. He requested that these funds be appropriated for improvements on the road that circles the back of the CCTI campus and which connects all of the parking lots. After extended discussion, Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that the unappropriated surplus of $8, 857. 00 in the Capital Outlay Fund of the CCTI be appropriated to the line item for construction of roadways with the Capital Outlay fund in accordance with the request of the CCTI Board of Trustees. Commissioner Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, Messrs. Dotterer, Rhyne, F. Wicker, G. Wicker, and Cooper voted for it and no one voted against it. There being no further business to come before the session, it was adjourned sine die.
