W BOOK 9 rksc 29 <br />Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the Chairman be authorized to execute, for and on <br />behalf of the County, the agreement for reimbursement of per diem costs of <br />maintenance of persons in local confinement facilities providing for a $10. 00 <br />per day per inmate reimbursement. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted, <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved the adoption of the <br />following resolution designating bank depositories: <br />~JBE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS FOR LEE COUNTY, in regular <br />meeting assembled that: <br />The finance officer of this unit shall be and is <br />hereby authorized and directed to have deposited on a <br />daily basis in The Carolina Bank, First-Citizens Bank <br />& Trust Company, Mid-South Bank and Trust Company, <br />The Northwestern Bank, Southern National Bank of North <br />Carolina, First Federal Savings & Loan Association of <br />Sanford, and Sanford Savings & Loan Association, in the <br />name and to the credit of this unit all funds belonging to <br />this unit with no exceptions, which may come into her hands <br />as an employee of this unit. <br />All checks, drafts or order of this unit drawn against <br />said funds shall be signed by one of the following officers: <br />Finance Officer <br />Assistant Finance Officer <br />and countersigned by the following officers: <br />Chairman, Board of Commissioners. <br />One of these signatures must be a genuine handwritten <br />signature. The names and signatures of the officers designated <br />shall be duly certified by the Clerk of the Board to said bank <br />depositories as from time to time necessary and no check, draft <br />or order drawn against said bank shall be valid unless so signed. <br />The said bank depositories shall be required to submit <br />to this unit a surety bond and/or such other collateral securities <br />as may be by law required. <br />The said bank depositories shall be given written instruct- <br />ions that the proceeds from all checks payable to the order of this <br />unit be deposited to the credit of this unit and that under no circum- <br />stances may an item be converted into cash. <br />The said bank depositories shall be given written instruct- <br />ions that, as provided under G. S. 105-199, the funds of this unit <br />are not subject to the Intangibles Tax. <br />Certified copies of this resolution shall be forwarded to <br />the said bank depositories herein designates ( <br />6v0 <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />
