BOOK PAGI <br />NOW THEREFORE IT IS RESOLVED that the week <br />of May 14 - 20, 1978, be designated CAROLINA BRICK <br />WEEK. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the sum of $1, 752, 00 <br />be appropriated from the unappropriated surplus in the General Fund to the <br />Sheriff's Department Fund for salaries and that the promotion of the following <br />named deputies from Step 1 to Step 2 in Grade 59, be approved, namely: <br />R. Worrell, C. Edwards, T. C. ADams, J. L. Parker, <br />S. Barneski, K. Garrett <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a <br />roll call vote, Messrs. Dotterer, Rhyne, Franklin D. Wicker, Gordon A. <br />Wicker, and Cooper voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that Mr. Mack O'Quinn <br />an employee with the Landfill Operations, be promoted from Step 1 to Step <br />2 in Grade 60. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion. Upon <br />a roll call vote, Messrs. Dotterer, Rhyne, Franklin D. Wicker, Gordon A. <br />Wicker and Cooper voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer brought to the attention of the <br />Board a statement from the Mental Health Department that appeared in the <br />newspaper concerning treatment of alcoholics. Commissioner Dotterer <br />stated that the published report in his opinion was inaccurate and that <br />alcoholics are receiving treatment at the County Hospital and from local <br />physicians. <br />Commissioner Dotterer stated that the Personnel Committee had <br />met and discussed the health insurance proposal and would meet again and <br />have a report for consideration by the Board at its next meeting. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it <br />was adjourned. <br />CLE <br />NORTH CAROLINA, LEE COUNTY <br />Pre ted for registration on theaA...... day <br />7pp <br />reded in Boot .............page...:T._... <br />Pattie W. klcGilvary, Register of Deedo <br />
