800IX PAa 490 <br />Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the following five <br />people be appointed to the Lee County Council on Youth, each to serve a term <br />which expires on December 31, 1981, namely, Mrs, Sandra Dalrymple, Mr. <br />Jimmy Roberts, Mr. George Simmons, Mrs. John L. Cameron, and Ms. Vickie <br />Patterson. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker advised the Board that he had <br />received a letter from Mr. Jordan of the Division of Highways, which set out a <br />breakdown on road expenditures in Lee County. The letter was exhibited to each <br />member of the Board. <br />The request of the Johnston-Lee Community Action, Inc., to be <br />exempt from the bonding, licensing and permit provisions of the County ordinance <br />regulating insulation companies, was read to the Board. Upon motion of Comm- <br />issioner Gordon A. Wicker, duly seconded by Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, <br />it was unanimously resolved to exempt the Johnston-Lee Community Action, Inc. <br />from only the bonding, licensing and permit provisions of the County ordinance <br />regulating insulation companies and providing that the inspection and other features <br />of the ordinance would apply to them as to all other persons or firms engaged in this <br />type of work. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker reported on the status of the work <br />at the Courthouse and advised the Board there were some minor items still to be <br />completed and he would report further at a later meeting. <br />Chairman Cooper reported that the Pontiac ambulance had been sold <br />for $2, 000. 00. The. County Attorney was requested to present the Overall <br />Economic Development Program report to the authorities of the City of Sanford <br />at the meeting of the Board of Aldermen on Tuesday, the 17th of January, 1978. <br />The letter of Secretary, Howard N.
