Not only may you be in danger by doing so, you <br />might alter the natural food-gathering habits of the <br />animal and possibly drive it from the park. <br />H. LITTER <br />1. It shall not be permitted to leave refuse or rubbish... <br />including, but not limited to, tin cans, bottles, plastic <br />or paper cartons, human excrement, fish entrails or other <br />litter anywhere but in garbage cans, toilets or other <br />refuse receptacles designed for disposal of such materials. <br />Littering of any kind and extent is unlawful. <br />2. It shall not be permitted to dispose of lighted or unlighted <br />matches, cigars, cigarettes, or pipe ashes in other than a <br />proper receptacle. <br />I. TRAILS <br />It shall not be permitted to take shortcuts between trails <br />and switchbacks. This endangers both yourself and others <br />and is erosive in nature. <br />2. It shall not be permitted to smoke on hiking trails. <br />J. CAMPING AND CAMPFIRES <br />1. It shall not be permitted to camp, park a car, trailer or <br />camper for carping purposes in areas other than those <br />designated for camping; or to camp, park a trailer or <br />camper in a designated area in excess of posted limit; or <br />leave a setup camp unattended for more than 48 hours. <br />2. Camping within the park from June 1 through September 30 <br />limited to a total of 7 consecutive days. At all other <br />times camping is limited to 14 consecutive days. <br />3. It shall not be permitted to ditch, dig, or level ground <br />for tents sites. <br />4. It shall not be permitted for users of the wilderness <br />campground to leave behind trash or garbage which <br />they have personally packed in. As not trash containers <br />are provided for these areas, campers must pack it out. <br />5•1 It shall not be permitted for users of the wilderness <br />campgrounds to deposit other than human excrement in the <br />privies provided in these areas. <br />6. It shall not be permitted for campers within the park to <br />leave foodstuffs of any kind within easy access to wildlife. <br />All supplies should be locked up or hung out of reach of <br />wildlife. <br />-3- <br />
