That if the subgrant is made, the Applicant <br />shall provide or make arrangements to provide, a local cash <br />matching contribution in the amount of $49.00 as required by <br />the most current guidelines. <br />4. That to the full extent the law allows, the applicant <br />agrees that upon submission of an application for this subgrant, <br />the applicant intends to continue the program at its own expense <br />and to appropriate funds therefore subject only to budgetary <br />limitations should the program be useful, effective and pertinent. <br />5. That applicant understands that approval of the sub- <br />grant application in no way implies or commits the United States <br />of America, the Law Enforcement Administration or the Law and <br />Order Section to approve any application for continuation funding <br />or to provide any continuation funding whatsoever; rather, appli- <br />cant understands that continuation funding will probably not be <br />available and applications therefore will only be considered, if at <br />all, under only unusual circumstances. <br />6. That the Project Director designated in the application <br />form shall furnish or make arrangements for other appropriate <br />persons for furnish such information, data, documents and reports <br />pertaining to the project, if approved, as may be required by the <br />Law and Order Section. <br />7. That certified copies of this resolution be included as part <br />of the application referenced above. <br />This resolution having been read aloud in its entirety <br />at the meeting above mentioned, shall be effective upon its adoption <br />and shall be recorded in its entirety in the minutes of Lee County <br />Board of Commissioners. <br />The Board next took up for consideration the Detention Subsidy <br />Repayment Agreement between Lee County and the Wake County Juvenile Detention <br />Center. After discussion, Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the approval <br />of the agreement and that the Chairman be authorized and directed to execute it <br />on behalf of the County. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Elwin Buchanan, Grants Director, appeared before the Board <br />and presented for consideration, Change Order No. 1, to the County's contract <br />with Environ, Inc., for the replacement of windows. The change order amounts <br />to the deletion of windows near fire exits and to a deduction of $5, 700. 00. <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that the change order be approved and the <br />Chairman authorized and directed to sign it on behalf of the County. Commissioner <br />Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next took up for consideration, a resolution concerning <br />the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policy. Mr. <br />Elwin Buchanan, Grants Director, appeared before the Board and explained the <br />change in relocation payments which had been necessitated by a change in Federal <br />Regulations. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the adoption of the resolution, <br />a copy of which is hereto attached and by this reference made a part hereof. <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />
