9 piur24 6 A i7 8 <br />be consulted for correct interpretation. <br />(2) Notify adjacent communities and the Department of <br />Natural Resources and Community Development prior to any <br />alteration or relocation of a watercourse, and shall <br />submit evidence of such notification to the Federal <br />Insurance Administration. <br />(3) Require that maintenance is provided within the altered or <br />relocated portion of said watercourse so that the flood- <br />carrying capacity is not diminished. <br />SECTION F. Interpretation of FHBM Boundarie <br />Where interpretation is needed as to the exact location of the boundaries <br />of the areas of special flood hazard (for example, where there appears to <br />be a conflict between a mapped boundary and actual physical conditions) <br />the U. S. Soil -Conservation' Service <br />shall be consulted for correct <br />interpretation. <br />ARTICLE 5. Provisions for Flood Hazard Reduction <br />SECTION A. General Standards <br />In all areas of special flood hazard, the following provisions are <br />required: <br />(1) Anchoring <br />(a) All new construction and substantial improvements shall <br />be anchored to prevent flotation, collapse or lateral <br />movement of the structure. <br />(b) All mobile homes shall be anchored to resist flotation, <br />collapse or lateral movement by providing over-the-top <br />ties to ground anchors. <br />Specific requirements shall be that: <br />(i) over-the-top ties be provided at each of the four <br />corners of the mobile home, with two additional <br />ties per side at intermediate locations and <br />mobile homes less than 50 feet long requiring one <br />additional tie per side; <br />
