BOOK 9 DACE 299 <br />Frontage Road: A frontage road is a local street or road <br />that is parallel to a full or partial access controlled <br />facility and functions to provide access to adjacent <br />land. <br />Alley: A strip of land, owned publicly or privately, set <br />aside primarily for vehicular service access to the back <br />or side of properties otherwise abutting on a street. <br />Expressway: An expressway is a divided street or road which <br />serves through traffic with full or partial control of <br />access and generally with grade separations at intersec- <br />tions; however, infrequent at-grade crossings may be per- <br />mitted. <br />Freeway: A freeway is a divided street or road which serves <br />through traffic with full control of access and with grade <br />separations at intersections. <br />19. SUDIVIDER. Any person, firm, or corporation who subdivdes or <br />develops any land deemed to be a subdivision as herein defined. <br />20. TOW2.T30iiSE DEVELOPMENT. A townhouse development shall consist <br />of one or more residential structures, comprised of two or <br />more attached single-family reisdences, intended for separ- <br />ate ownership. <br />C. Word Interpretation <br />For the purpose of this ordinance, certain words shall be inter- <br />preted as follows: <br />The word "may" is permissive. <br />The words "shall" and "will" are mandatory. <br />The present tense includes the future tense and the future <br />tense includes the present terse. <br />The singular includes the plural and the plural includes the <br />singular. <br />-9- <br />
