E BOi,~ ~ fAi~f The Community Development Council recommended accepting the low bid of Edi-Sons, Inc.. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the Board follow the recommendations of the Community Development Council and accept the low bid of Edi-Sons, Inc., for the demolition work. Commissioner Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Mr. Buchanan next presented the recommendation of the Community Development Council for budget amendments in order to have needed funds for closing out the 1975-76 Community Development program to cover audit and closing expenses. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the budget for the Community Development Block Grant program B-75-DN-37-0009, be amended as follows: 1. Move $3,,900. 00 from Line Item 20-490-12, Temporary Housing, to Line Item 20-490-02, Administration - Expenses. 2. Move $2, 000. 00 from Line Item 20-490-12, Temporary Housing, to Line Item 20-490-01, Administration - Salaries. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, Commissioner Funderburke, Nielsen, Rhyne, Wicker and Harmon all voted for it. Mr. Buchanan next brought up for the consideration of the Board, a resolution authorizing the Chairman to make application to the North Carolina Department of Administration for a grant to assist in the Unique Parcel Identification Number Program. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved the adoption of the follow- ing resolution: WHEREAS, Lee County is engaged in an effort to modernize its Land Records System and the preparation of base maps and cadastral maps is now completed or under- way, and WHEREAS, in order to complete the long range plan, a geocoded parcel identifier for each parcel of land in Lee County is proposed, and WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Adminis- tration, under authority of Chapter 1099, Session Laws 1977, an Act to provide assistance to counties for the Improvement of Land Records, has funds available to assist in such a land iden- tification system; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: That the Board of Commissioners of Lee County hereby authorizes Mr. K. S. Harmon, Chairman of the Lee County Board of Commissioners to execute and file an application to the North Carolina Department of Administration for a grant in the amount of Eleven Thousand Dollars ($11, 000. 00) to be matched by County funds, to assist in the identification of land parcels in Lee County, and to make all required assurances and agreements. Commissioner Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. It was reported that bids had been received.for the printing of the County Subdivision Control Ordinance and that the, bids were from Mac's Business Machines in the amount of $283.11 and from the Christian Book Store in the amount of $234. 50; Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the low bid of the Christian Book Store in the amount of $234. 50 be accepted and the expense of printing be charged against the Planning Department Budget. Commissioner X
