E <br />BOi,~ ~ fAi~f <br />The Community Development Council recommended accepting the <br />low bid of Edi-Sons, Inc.. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the Board <br />follow the recommendations of the Community Development Council and accept <br />the low bid of Edi-Sons, Inc., for the demolition work. Commissioner Nielsen <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Buchanan next presented the recommendation of the Community <br />Development Council for budget amendments in order to have needed funds for <br />closing out the 1975-76 Community Development program to cover audit and closing <br />expenses. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved that the budget for the Community <br />Development Block Grant program B-75-DN-37-0009, be amended as follows: <br />1. Move $3,,900. 00 from Line Item 20-490-12, Temporary <br />Housing, to Line Item 20-490-02, Administration - Expenses. <br />2. Move $2, 000. 00 from Line Item 20-490-12, Temporary <br />Housing, to Line Item 20-490-01, Administration - Salaries. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a <br />roll call vote, Commissioner Funderburke, Nielsen, Rhyne, Wicker and Harmon <br />all voted for it. <br />Mr. Buchanan next brought up for the consideration of the Board, <br />a resolution authorizing the Chairman to make application to the North Carolina <br />Department of Administration for a grant to assist in the Unique Parcel Identification <br />Number Program. Commissioner Clyde J. Rhyne moved the adoption of the follow- <br />ing resolution: <br />WHEREAS, Lee County is engaged in an effort to <br />modernize its Land Records System and the preparation of <br />base maps and cadastral maps is now completed or under- <br />way, and <br />WHEREAS, in order to complete the long range <br />plan, a geocoded parcel identifier for each parcel of land in <br />Lee County is proposed, and <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Adminis- <br />tration, under authority of Chapter 1099, Session Laws 1977, an <br />Act to provide assistance to counties for the Improvement of <br />Land Records, has funds available to assist in such a land iden- <br />tification system; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />That the Board of Commissioners of Lee County hereby <br />authorizes Mr. K. S. Harmon, Chairman of the Lee County <br />Board of Commissioners to execute and file an application to <br />the North Carolina Department of Administration for a grant in <br />the amount of Eleven Thousand Dollars ($11, 000. 00) to be <br />matched by County funds, to assist in the identification of land <br />parcels in Lee County, and to make all required assurances <br />and agreements. <br />Commissioner Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />It was reported that bids had been received.for the printing of the <br />County Subdivision Control Ordinance and that the, bids were from Mac's Business <br />Machines in the amount of $283.11 and from the Christian Book Store in the amount <br />of $234. 50; Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the low bid of the <br />Christian Book Store in the amount of $234. 50 be accepted and the expense of <br />printing be charged against the Planning Department Budget.
