I. <br />x Information <br />Meeting Date: 2/21/2014 _ Action Item <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT Evergreen Performance Audit Review <br />DEPARTMENT Administration <br />CONTACT PERSON Michael James, County Intern <br />REQUEST N/A <br />SUMMARY In October 2011, the Lee County Board of Commissioners contracted with <br />Evergreen Solutions, LLC to conduct a comprehensive performance audit <br />of the County's organizational, operational, and financial efficiency and <br />effectiveness. The total cost of the audit was $140,000. The final report <br />was completed and submitted to the County in February 2012, and it <br />included a total of eighty -five recommendations covering nearly all county <br />operations. To date, sixty -three of the recommendations have either been <br />implemented or are in the process of being implemented. The majority of <br />the recommendations that have not been addressed require additional <br />funding, substantial staff time for long -term planning and document <br />drafting, or action on behalf of organizations external to the County.
