C. <br />Information <br />Meeting Date: January 6, 2014 XX Action Item <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT Consider Amendment to the Official Zoning Map of Lee <br />County <br />DEPARTMENT Sanford /Lee County Planning and Development <br />CONTACT PERSON Althea Thompson, Planner II <br />REQUEST: Consider recommendation of the Planning Board and make <br />final decision on rezoning request <br />SUMMARY: Application by Quinton & Irene Thomas to rezone from <br />Residential Restricted (RR) district to Residential Agricultural <br />(RA) district a 2 -acre lot west of NC Highway 87 South that <br />is situated between 5636 and 5740 NC Highway 87 South. <br />The lot is the same as depicted on Lee County Tax Map <br />9660.04, Tax Parcel 9660 -53 -2103, Lee County Land <br />Records. It is also the same 2 -acre lot illustrated on a <br />survey for Quinton Thomas recorded in Plat Cabinet 4, Slide <br />225, Lee County Registry of Deeds. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: N/A <br />ATTACHMENT(S) (1) Recommendation from the Planning Board with staff <br />report, and <br />(2) Ordinance to Amend the Official Zoning Map of Lee <br />County with Map <br />PUBLIC HEARING No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION A joint public hearing was held with the Planning Board on <br />December 16, 2013. <br />RECOMMENDATION The Planning Board by a unanimous vote recommends the <br />application be approved as presented. <br />
