BK 00026 PG <br />recommended the Board repeal the portions of the current Parks and Recreation Ordinance, <br />specifically § §18 -37(b) and 18- 63(6), in that such provisions are unenforceable given the amendment to <br />North Carolina General Statute §14- 415.23. A new Ordinance can be drafted in conformity with the <br />new law if the Board so directs. After discussion, Commissioner Womack moved to approve Attorney <br />Yarborough's recommendation to repeal the portions of the current Parks and Recreation Ordinance <br />and make sure wording on new signs are in agreement with the State Statute. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter presented Budget Amendment #11/18/13/04 to allocate $150,000 <br />for a loan to the Lee County Economic Development Corporation. Commissioner Smith moved to <br />approve Budget Amendment #11/18/13/04 as presented, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes <br />and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter presented the Monthly Financial Report for month ending October <br />2013. No action was taken. <br />Commissioner Reives left the meeting at 9:33 p.m. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented his Monthly Report for November 2013, a copy of <br />which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. No action was taken. <br />With no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Dalrymple moved to adjourn <br />the meeting.
