BK - 00026 PG:0022 <br />• Revised Records Retention Schedule for County Management (copy attached), <br />• Revised Records Retention Schedule for Tax Administration (copy attached), <br />• Revised Records Retention Schedule for Register of Deeds (copy attached), <br />• Acceptance of Emergency Management Performance Grant Award and MOU for <br />FY 2013 (copy attached), <br />• FY 2013 -14 Senior Center General Purpose Funding Application (copy <br />attached), and <br />• Minutes from the September 26, 2013 Elected Official's Work Session. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives joined the meeting at this time. <br />Month. Chairman Parks read aloud the Proclamation for National Disability Employment Awareness <br />The Board considered recommendations from the Lee County Planning Board in reference to <br />four (4) rezoning requests from The Village of Cumnock. Planner Althea Thompson outlined the first <br />recommendation to rezone 53.63± acres of land located south of Cotten Road and west of Cumnock <br />Road from Residential Restricted (RR) district to Multifamily 12 (MF -12) district. Commissioner Reives <br />expressed concerns that no traffic study has been completed on Cumnock Road in the past 10 years <br />and this new development would drastically change the area. Community Development Director Bob <br />Bridwell stated the NC Department of Transportation would require the developer to have a traffic study <br />completed on the entire project before approving any road changes. Mr. Bridwell stated he would ask <br />DOT to complete a "courteous traffic count" as soon as possible. After discussion of the rezoning <br />project, Commissioner Womack moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board to <br />approve the rezoning request and the Ordinance Amending the Official Zoning Map of Lee County, a <br />copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, and after a final <br />review has been completed by the County Attorney. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the second rezoning request from The Village of Cumnock to rezone <br />81.36± acres of land located east of the Deep River and west of Cumnock Road from Residential <br />Agricultural (RA) district to Residential 6- Conditional district (R -6 -C). Planner Althea Thompson <br />outlined the rezoning request. After discussion, Commissioner Smith moved to approve the <br />recommendation of the Planning Board to approve the rezoning request and the Ordinance Amending <br />the Official Zoning Map of Lee County, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof.
