XX Information & Public Hearing Meeting Date: October 21, 2013 _ Action Item Consent Agenda SUBJECT Public Hearing for FY 2014/15 Community Transportation Grant DEPARTMENT Lee County Senior Services CONTACT PERSON Debbie Davidson REQUEST Hold Public Hearing SUMMARY A public hearing has been advertised for the October 21 st meeting for the North Carolina Department of Transportation FY 2014/15 Community Transportation Program Grant Application. The following funds are requested: Administrative and Employee Development — $157,558.00 — Local Match — 15% - $23,635.00 These funds cover 85% of the salary for the County of Lee Transit System coordinator, and a percentage of the administrative cost of 3 other staff members and benefits, travel, general office supplies, space rental, technology supplies and indirect cost for the administration of the system. Also included in this request is 85% reimbursement for vehicle insurance on 18 vehicles. Capital — Eight replacement vehicles for those with current mileage in excess of 115,000 miles, Four 15 passenger high top - $200,000, Four Lift Equipped high top - $216,000, Lettering for Eight Vehicles - $1,760, Three Computer Replacements under 5 year disposition plan - $3,552, One Lap Top and Data Projector for training of staff - $1,555.00. Total - $422,867 with 10% Local Match - $42,286 A public hearing is required to submit this application. Official notice was placed in the Sanford Herald within the required seven to fourteen day prior deadline. Notices in both English and Spanish have been posted in the COLTS vehicles and other public buildings within Lee County.
