B K 00025 PG: 0964 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Upon a vote for Mr. Ken Armstrong, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Parks announced that Ms. Meg Moss, Mr. Bob Kain, Mr. Max Dolan, Commissioner Jim <br />Womack, and Mr. Ken Armstrong had been appointed to serve on the Triangle South Workforce <br />Development Board. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Sandhills Mental Health Board that had been <br />deferred at the August 19th meeting until the Clerk could advertise the vacancy. An ad ran in the <br />Sanford Herald on August 24th and a notice was placed on the County website. The person serving in <br />this position must have insurance expertise consistent with the scale and nature of the managed care <br />organization. Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee presented two (2) applications for consideration to said <br />Board. Commissioner Smith nominated Tom Snell to serve in said position. Commissioner Womack <br />moved to close the nominations. Clerk to the Board <br />Gaynell Lee presented one application from Mr. A. K. Griffin to serve as the Cape Fear Township <br />representative on said Board. Commissioner Smith moved to approve the application presented by Mr. <br />A. K. Griffin to the Agriculture Advisory Board. Commissioner Dalrymple moved to close the <br />nominations. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and Mr. A. K. Griffin was <br />appointed to the Lee County Agriculture Advisory Board. <br />Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee stated that Mr. Ray Covington had volunteered to move from the <br />Pocket Township on the Agriculture Advisory Board to the Jonesboro Township. The Board was asked <br />for their approval for Mr. Covington to change townships. Commissioner Womack moved to approve <br />Mr. Ray Covington's move from the Pocket Township to the Jonesboro Township as stated.
