BK - 00025 PG:0963 <br />paragraph to read "All Commissioners may speak on their own individual position with the media and <br />general public but must make it clear they are speaking for themselves and not the Board ", a copy of <br />which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered five (5) appointments to the Triangle South Workforce Development <br />Board. Action on these appointments was deferred at the August 19th meeting and the Clerk was <br />directed to advertise the vacancies. An ad ran in the Sanford Herald on August 24th and a notice was <br />placed on the County website. Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee presented eight applications for <br />consideration to said Board. Commissioner Smith nominated Ms. Meg Moss to serve in the <br />"Community Based Organization" position. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Smith then nominated Commissioner Jim Womack, Max Dolan, Bob Kain, and Ken <br />Armstrong to fill the "private" vacant positions. Commissioner Reives nominated Tony Lett. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to close the nominations. Upon a vote for Mr. Tony Lett, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, and Reives <br />Nay: Knecht, Parks, Smith, and Womack <br />The Chairman ruled the motion failed with a 4 to 3 vote. <br />Upon a vote for Mr. Bob Kain, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: Frazier <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a 6 to 1 vote. <br />Upon a vote for Mr. Max Dolan, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: Dalrymple and Frazier <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a 5 to 2 vote. <br />Upon a vote for Commissioner Jim Womack, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />4 <br />
